Daily Dilemmas

Being a working mum, wife and women

Fading memories… March 4, 2008

Remember the days when you slept in till you woke up, dinner could be made when you were ready, your husband thought of you for sex and not as ‘mummy’.

As for the kids, I have photos of them both blobbed on the same beanbag eating iceblocks and enjoying the sunshine… They still fight, but they seem to be happier when together instead of apart. YIPPEE, I wonder how long this will last.

Also on the upside I went shopping on the weekend and bought the most amazing vacuum cleaner. Now don’t get me wrong I would have much preferred to buy a TV or furniture, but it had to be done. I was astounded about the amount of stuff it picked up out of the carpet, actually it was quite disgusting. I went over the sunroom/playroom once and had to emtpy it and try again!!! The lounge and rest of the house wasn’t much better. In total I think I emptied it 3 times, and has been put away half full. I have to say though without trying to sound too much like an advertisement that the Dyson bagless is the only option I found that doesn’t have issues with LONG human hair; and believe me it picked up heaps of it. It even kept picking up when it looked REALLY full. Sad what I get excited about these days! But I do like a clean house.

Must go and clean up after dinner stuff etc. Also must finish the ironing (did most of it this morning so I actually had something to wear to work). Also need to swap the washing over from airer to hotwater cupboard, when will this rain stop!
